About
Hi, I’m Mira. I take the long way round.
I’m a translator by trade and a wanderer by habit. For the last eight years I’ve been travelling in slow, uneven stretches — a month here, a season there — mostly by train, mostly alone, and mostly in places that don’t make the top-ten lists.
I’d rather spend an afternoon in a back alley watching someone fix a scooter than a week at an all-inclusive resort. I like cities at two in the morning, mountains with no phone signal and cafés where nobody asks what you want because there’s only one thing on the menu.
This journal is where I write it all down: the atmosphere, the practical bits, the bad days and the very good ones. No sponsored hotels, no affiliate links, no “ten things you must see.” Just notes from the road, as honestly as I can manage.
